ETA Automatizari Industriale is the first Romanian company who signed the MoU for joining the eCall project for increasing the road safety in European Union. eCall is a part of the EU active approach for having vehicles fitted with standard equipments for alarming the 112 national control rooms in case of a road accident. The output of this European project is that all on-board units to be standardized in order to deliver an unique set of data to the helping units coordinated by 112 national control rooms: location, direction, time of the crash, information about the vehicle, etc.
This unique set of data is called MSD (Minimum Set of Data) and is already implemented by Cinterion on its M2M telematic platforms. Learn more about eCall here. |
